About

The Ski-A-Thon fundraiser is hosted by the Allina Health Foundation to support Courage Kenny Rehabilitation Institute’s Adaptive Ski and Snowboard program. Courage Kenny’s vision is to partner with people to live, work, and PLAY to their full potential.

With your help, we can ensure every individual has an opportunity to experience the transformative power of skiing and snowboarding. Our goal is to raise $45,000 to support the Courage Kenny by April 1, 2024. DOUBLE your impact today! All donations up to $10,000 will be DOUBLED by a generous Courage Kenny Ski and Snowboard volunteer instructor!

Ways to Participate

All donations are 100% tax deductible and will directly support the Courage Kenny Ski and Snowboard program in the following ways and more!

  • Keeping program fees low and providing scholarships
  • Top-notch training for volunteer instructors

2024 Kick off events and locations

The kick-off events take place during our regular lessons. It will be a day of fun including games, hot chocolate, treats, and decorating helmets!

Get ready to win some epic prizes!

  • Create a Page: Register and create your own page to receive a Courage Kenny Ski and Snowboard vinyl sticker, a perfect addition for your helmet or water bottle.
  • $350 Club: Raise $350 or more and get a commemorative Ski-A-Thon t-Shirt.
  • Fundraisers of the Year: Participant and Volunteer Fundraiser of the Year will receive special recognition at the end of the season celebrations in addition to the prizes listed above.

About Courage Kenny Ski and Snowboard program

One of the largest adaptive ski and snowboard programs in the country, Courage Kenny Ski and Snowboard program (CKSS) provides more than 1,200 lessons per year at four sites across Minnesota and Wisconsin and is supported by 300 volunteer instructors. Our lesson formats and teaching techniques are consistent with Professional Ski Instructors of America Adaptive standards.

The program has provided one-on-one adaptive skiing instruction and winter recreation opportunities to people of all ages, abilities and backgrounds for more than 45 years. The skills and expertise of our volunteer instructors, our ability to provide specialized equipment, and our longstanding relationships with local ski areas enable us to meet a variety of client needs.

Participants range from 6 to 70+ years of age with disabilities including: Cerebral Palsy, Traumatic Brain Injury, Spinal Cord Injury, Spina Bifida, Stroke, Autism, Visual Impairments, and many other disabilities.
