About Courage Kenny Ski and Snowboard program

One of the largest adaptive ski and snowboard programs in the country, Courage Kenny Rehabilitation Institute’s Ski and Snowboard program (CKSS) provides more than 1,200 lessons per year at four sites across Minnesota and Wisconsin. The program is supported by 300 volunteer instructors. Our lesson formats and teaching techniques are consistent with Professional Ski Instructors of America Adaptive standards.

The program has provided one-on-one adaptive skiing instruction and winter recreation opportunities to people of all ages, abilities and backgrounds for more than 50 years. The skills and expertise of volunteer instructors, specialized equipment, and longstanding relationships with local ski areas enable us to meet a variety of client needs.

Participants range from 6 to 70+ years of age with disabilities including: cerebral palsy, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, Spina Bifida, stroke, autism spectrum disorders, visual impairments, and many other disabilities.
