A Community Fundraising Campaign Benefiting the Allina Health Cancer Institute
Throughout the year, the Minnesota State High School League tennis community is coming together with a shared purpose to raise awareness about the impact of cancer and support life-changing research and patient care through the Allina Health Cancer Institute.
Cancer touches every one of us, including our families, our teammates, our schools, and our communities. This year, we rally in honor of someone who embodies strength, resilience, and the spirit of our tennis family: Thea Lowman, Head Girls' and Boys' Tennis Coach at Cambridge High School, who is currently navigating her own breast cancer journey.
Through Rally for a Cure, schools across Minnesota are uniting to turn every match, event, and donation into hope for those facing cancer. Together, we can make a meaningful difference for patients and families while advancing innovative cancer research that saves lives.
Inspired by a Community That Shows Up for One Another
When Coach Thea Lowman began her breast cancer journey, the Cambridge-Isanti tennis community responded the way great teams do, by showing up for one another. Players, parents, coaches, alumni, and supporters rallied around her with encouragement, generosity, and unwavering support.

Now, that spirit is growing beyond a single team.
Serve It Up for Cancer brings together tennis communities from across Minnesota to honor Thea's strength, support those facing cancer, and invest in a future with better treatments, greater hope, and a stronger community. What started as support for one coach has become a statewide movement united by compassion, resilience, and the belief that no one should face cancer alone.
Every dollar raised is donated to Allina Health in Thea's name, helping fund groundbreaking research, compassionate patient care, and support services for those impacted by cancer.
