About Courage Kenny Ski and Snowboard

The Courage Kenny Rehabilitation Institute Ski and Snowboard program is an instruction-based program seeking to teach and improve skiing and snowboarding skills for people with disabilities. The program has provided one-on-one adaptive skiing instruction and winter recreation opportunities to people of all ages, abilities and backgrounds for more than 50 years. 

One of the largest adaptive ski and snowboard programs in the country, Courage Kenny Ski and Snowboard program (CKSS) provides more than 1,000 lessons per year at four sites across Minnesota and Wisconsin and is supported by 300 volunteer instructors. 

Participants range from 6 to 60+ years of age with disabilities including: Cerebral Palsy, Traumatic Brain Injury, Spinal Cord Injury, Spina Bifida, Stroke, Autism, Visual Impairments, and many other disabilities.
