Peter loves adaptive skiing with Courage Kenny, and for Peter the faster the better!!

A lot of people have asked “how” Peter skis. He sits in a ski sled, that is basically a chair that extends out to support his feet adn then he is strapped in securely. The seat sits on 2 skis that run under the length of the sled. The back part of the skis can be "released" from the seat so the sled can be loaded on and off a chair lift.  An instructor guides the sled using a long tether attached to the back of the sled to direct turns using the skis on Peters sled. There are typically 2 other ski buddies who join to help. It takes a couple of people to get Peter and sled onto the chair lift. So lots of volunteers and adaptive equipment to be able to get Peter out skiing but wow does it make Peter happy!!

Your donation will help cover the cost of specialized adaptive equipment, specialized training for volunteer instructors, scholarships for lessons, lift tickets and more. It will also allow Courage Kenny to continue offering this program to individuals who might not otherwise have access to winter sports.
